Uniform
We believe that a uniform instils a sense of identity and community belonging. We are proud of our unique uniform, which is practical and hard wearing.
Main school uniform:
- BPS “gold” t-shirt or polo shirt with optional school logo
- BPS “sapphire” zipped jacket, round / ‘V’ necked sweater or buttoned cardigan with school logo
- Plain indigo denim jeans, skirts, shorts (mid-thigh or below), or
- plain indigo denim pinafore with optional school logo badge.
- Navy, black or brown sensible shoes/boots.
Please note that denim must not be distressed, have artificial creasing or bleached out patches. Articles used for uniforms should not have embroidered/printed designs including logos. Hoodies are not part of school uniform.
PE uniform:
- Plain white t-shirt/polo shirt with optional school logo badge
- Plain navy shorts/tracksuit bottoms or skorts
- Navy, black or white trainers
Sundries
- Plain white, navy or black socks/tights
Sourcing Uniform
Uniform with the school logo already incorporated is available from Logo Sports supplies - click here. Iron-on logos can also be purchased from the school office - see below.
Denim skirts are available to purchase from the BPS office. They cost £10, please pay via ParentMail.
School logo badges
The BPS school office sells iron on logo badges for £1.
When ironing a school logo badge to clothing ensure that you use a hot iron, place a thin piece of cloth over the badge and clothing, place the iron on top and hold still for approx 30-60 secs, then turn the garment inside out and repeat the process.
Jewellery
The only jewellery allowed is a simple short chain, stud earrings or a watch.
School book bags
Green book bags (10”x14.5”) are available from Logo Sports.
LOST PROPERTY
Our lost property box is kept outside the front office for parents to access before and after school. When the box is full, parents will be given 1 week's notice before the box is emptied. We follow the following guidelines when deciding what to do with the contents:
RETURN - any named items will be returned to children
REUSE – any unnamed school uniform that we can use in school will be kept for children who need it in an emergency
RESELL – uniform that is in good condition and unnamed will be passed to the PTA for the second-hand sale. Non-school uniform, and any other items that are in good condition, will be taken to a charity shop
RECYCLE – clothing that is unnamed and not in good condition will be taken to a textile recycling point
REFUSE – any remaining items will be disposed of in the general waste
