This is a challenging, historic opportunity. The new Bilingual Primary School, Brighton and Hove Trust is looking for an experienced leader with outstanding skills who is committed to high expectations and able to lead and inspire staff and children to reach their full potential. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, aspirational and outstanding Deputy Head to work alongside the Headteacher to develop this unique school in their vision to provide exceptional education within a bilingual context (Spanish and English).
The Bilingual Primary School for Brighton & Hove is an innovative project aiming to open a Primary School in September 2012 as a Free school. This new Free School will offer Primary education for children aged 4 – 11 years. Initially the school will open as a 2FE primary with Reception and Year 1 pupils and will grow to full capacity over the next few years. Commitment to develop fluency in Spanish is essential

The Bilingual Primary School for Brighton & Hove is an innovative project aiming to open a Primary School in September 2012 as a Free School. The 2 form entry school will offer Primary education for children aged 4 – 11 years. Initially it will open as a 2 FE primary with pupils in Reception and Year 1.
The Bilingual Primary School, Brighton & Hove will teach the English National Curriculum to a very high standard in 2 languages, English and Spanish.
We are looking to recruit individuals who share our vision to provide all children with the best possible education within a bilingual context, and who are committed to constantly improving their own and their pupils' performance. This is an outstanding opportunity for excellent practitioners and aspiring leaders as leadership posts will be needed as the school grows to full capacity.
Spanish speaking, whilst advantageous, will not be an initial requirement. However a commitment to gain a high standard of fluency within a year will be expected. The school will provide language tuition as part of professional development for teachers.
