Welcome to The Bilingual Primary School

We are a pioneering state-funded primary school in the heart of Brighton and Hove where children learn through English and Spanish every day. Our unique admissions arrangements enable children from across the city (BN1, BN2, BN3 & BN41.) to join our school, regardless of how close they live. We have children from English speaking homes, Spanish speaking homes and homes where other languages are spoken - over 30 languages are currently spoken by families in our community!

All children are welcome here to learn across our broad, balanced curriculum which covers the content of the national curriculum with some content taught through each language. Our vision for the Bilingual Primary School, Brighton & Hove, is to be at the leading edge of bilingual education in the UK

We aim to immerse children in a second language to stimulate and promote dual language communication, and in doing so enrich and expand their academic, cultural and social worlds.

We will do this by:

• offering the opportunity to all children to learn with us through an exciting program of English and Spanish
• providing the very best of British education through a distinctive inquiry-based curriculum that has two fundamental dimensions- a global perspective and challenge
